jhyink pointed me to this funny video parodying Apple and other things. I had to share. Click to read more and view the video.

I upgraded one of the Macs in my house to Tiger last Saturday and it is really great. My favorite thing at the moment is the RSS reader in Safari. I have a folder full of RSS feeds (blogs, news, etc.) in my bookmark bar. Safari puts a number in the title to this folder that tells me how many articles have been added since the last time I looked at them. It is really nice and much easier to see what’s new in lots of different areas. Much nicer that using Firefox or an external RSS reader which I’ve done in the past.
Dashboard, Spotlight, and lots of other things are also really cool about 10.4 but Safari RSS seems to be the thing that I am going to get the most use out of.
My job is changing this year so that I will be dealing more with selling and supporting computers. My boss would like me to get my A+ Certification for various reasons. I am now reading the A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide. I find this kind of interesting that I am learning to support PCs which I don’t even like. I use a PC all day at work and a Mac at home for everything else. I would gladly use a Mac at work but my boss doesn’t like the idea. From my limited knowledge of PC support at the moment, it seems to me that a Mac would be a lot easier to support especially in hardware areas because there is a much more limited choice of configurations (than the hundreds of PC manufacturers).
If you are in the market for a new computer and aren’t sure what to get, go to Apple.com and get a Mac. It’s just better (and doesn’t have viruses).
As was pointed out on 40 Bicycles, the inventor of the Ctrl-Alt-Delete key sequence is retiring from IBM after 28.5 years.
The best part in the article is what Bradley said when he and Bill Gates were both on a panel celebrating 20 years of the IBM PC. He said, “I may have invented [Ctrl-Alt-Delete], but Bill made it famous.”
Reminders like this are great for those who still think a PC is better than a Mac. Just remember that Bill Gates is quoted as saying, “If you can’t make it good, at least make it look good.”
Macworld has a new interview with Steve Jobs on their website. They discuss with him the 20th anniversary of the mac. They also have posted another article by seven different people who look at the 20 years of influence the mac has had in the computer industry.
